demostenes Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 I was just currious, do you use one material library for whole project, or you have dozens of smaller libraries? Now we have cca 2100 diffuse textures and I am thinking, what is the best approach. Is there for example some performance reason to use smaller libraries? Does anybody here have experience with large number of materials? What do you consider best solution? Thanks.
ulf.schroeter Posted November 4, 2012 Posted November 4, 2012 Performance-wise I wouldn't expect a real difference. Maybe smaller libraries allow better project organisation or re-use
ivan.cuevas Posted November 5, 2012 Posted November 5, 2012 I agree with Ulf. Smaller libraries helps to share parent materiales between different modules (in my case ung files)
