Hello , as i see unigine engine terrain , it has size limitation. But i saw some people making mmorpg by using unigine. is it possible to make a game like Lineage 2 like this: http://lineage.pmfun...ap%20CT2%20(big).jpg Lineage 2 is streaming from harddisk all map. I've looked Lineage 2 datapack is full of terrain files. I'm interested in how people doing mmorpg if unigine terrain size is limited ? We need solution for big mmorpg maps.

For heightfield terrain some users simply use multiple ObjectTerrain instances for very large maps, see this thread for some information. Though this is for sure not the ideal solution it seems to work. In addition NodeSector can be used for tile-based streaming of meshes, masks and textures. See this thread for some details. Also you can search the forum with keywords "ObjectTerrain", "NodeSector" for more information on usage and issues.

 

More sophisticated large world streaming support has been requested multiple times and hopefully UNIGINE will provide such a solution at the beginning of 2013 (at least they announced to do so).
