Tooltips cropped to edge of widget

I have a MenuBox with a few items, with tooltips attached to each item. The tooltips show, but they are cropped to the edge of the MenuBox and their text cannot be fully seen. How can I allow them to render beyond the edge of the MenuBox?

I'm afraid this is correct behavior with enabed Interface plugin (limitations of Interface plugin itself). Without interface plugin tooltips are rendered in more user-friendly way.

 

We have custom tooltip algorithm for editor tooltips inside <SDK>/data/editor/editor_tooltip.h.
