werner.poetzelberger Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Hello, I am wondering if there is a plan to rework the GUI of the editor. At the moment it seems practical, but it is far from beeing a unified and understandable concept. Sometimes the interface is good and simple to use, sometimes it causes pains everywhere in my body. My suggestion is, to find a very good Interface Designer and work closely with the deveopers and users, as well weaving in all good things of contemporary, copareable software, to improve the GUI to bring it to an 'Editor' standard. It not about the graphical side and the presentation, but the also the ideas of workflows and usability, tools and interaction. It is definitely a huge topic and there is a lot of brain to be put in. Hopefully there is the plan to bring the 'editor' to a software standard. One of the big issues I see atm is the accessability for none-programmers. It s not, that the editor needs to fully intergrate all the features of a script and programming, but it should definitely provide much more possibilities, rather than the very basic stuff. The editor is not really usable as a prototyping tool (maybe it shouldnt be ?) for quick development, testing, proofing etc, but at least it should do the things which it does in the best manner. I think that there is a very big chance to do something really exceptional with the editor, as it has the potential to develop! Best. w.
binstream Posted November 3, 2015 Posted November 3, 2015 Werner, we agree with your points, that's why we are already doing this. A lot of UX changes have been designed in details recently, now we are implementing them one by one.
