[SOLVED] Shadow Reflection optimization issue?

Hey.

 

I have an issue with the flat mirror material.

 

As the camera moves around our scene, shadows do disapear at certain angles just in the reflection.

 

I guess this is an optimization of shadows not beeing rendered in the frustum (as the camera doesnt see it any more), but it would be needed for the reflected image.

 

Can this be solved. (maybe as an option, that shadows can be rendered all the time?).

 

It basically happens with all shadows.

Attached nearly the same camera position. sometimes off/on shadow jumping.

Hi Werner,

 

Shadows in planar reflections are always rendering (even if object itself is not rendered anymore). It seems that I can't also reproduce such behavior with normal scale (1 unit = 1 meter). 

 

Have you checked the shadows parameters in Rendering settings?

Yes I have.

Do u think, that is a scaling issue?

 

Are there any other settings regarding the shadows?

Hello Silent,

 

We have upgraded the project to 2.2.1 and the feature does its job.

 

We are testing it now for a few days.

 

That helps definitely a lot. because we have a higher framerate now.
