adrian.licuriceanu Posted May 15, 2016 Posted May 15, 2016 Hello, I've downloaded the latest SDK browser from the site to test some things but currently it is not starting (console window appears for a brief moment and then closes). Is there a way to find out what happened (e.g. a log file somewhere)? I am using Windows 8.1 and I remember that 1 month a go the browser seemed to work. Kind Regards, Adrian VStep Developer
paralyzah Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Hello Adrian 1. Log-files are here: C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Local\Unigine SDK Browser. Log-files named as: browser-<date>-<time>.log , please send us your latest 1-2 logs2. Also, if browser has already installed then you can try do clean installation (complete uninstall previous version and install new) Sorry for the inconvenience caused.
adrian.licuriceanu Posted May 17, 2016 Author Posted May 17, 2016 Hi, It seems to work now. I've uninstalled the old one and installed a new one in the default location. Seems that installing in my dev folder caused the issue. I am administrator on the PC but, from my experience, there are some file access restrictions starting with Windows 7 even if you are admin (unless you do run the install with Run As Administrator option). This may be the case here too. Anyway, for now I will run it from the default installation folder. Regards, Adrian
demostenes Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 We have experienced various problems with browser, but usually uninstalling and then turning off anti viruses (with some even client is not able to connect to licence server) and installing under admin rights and did the job.
