Guest shane.ploenges Posted March 18, 2011 Posted March 18, 2011 Nevermind. Just figured out why this happens - since my deflectors are way above the actual roofs it created the described problem when the rain changes its direction. I now have to adjust deflector plane positions when the rain direction changes. Sorry for misunderstanding. It is all working fine. The original problem: Hello everyone! I have some strange behavior when trying to use Deflectors in a particle object to stop raining under the roofs, etc. It works as long as the deflector plane more or less perpendicular to the particles direction. For instance I setup the rain falling strictly downwards and set up a horizontal detached deflector (clipper) plane. Now it stops the particles (if placed some way above the actual roof geometry since the rain particles are stretched and their center is considered for collision. It is good. Now when I change the particles emitter direction (let's say by 45 degrees, like affected by the wind), my 'rain unaffected' zone moves just as the deflector plane was rotated along with the emitter direction, but it does not. Is this a bug or intended behavior? Thanks!
