scale problem of smesh

Hello.

When we produce our charactor in maya, we only set x-axis scale for one of the bones, but when we export that,

x,y,z axis also been scaled, It's seems that we could only work with unified scale. but some times we did need to only scale one of the axis of the bones, how should we do?

What is the precise game play effect you want to achive ? Maybe there is another technical approach.

we need to produce some visual specail effect such as tornado , that made by some particles and skined meshs, the skinned mesh need to do some distort transform that need to be implementd by bone scale in one of 3 axis direction.
