andre_elijah Posted June 17, 2017 Posted June 17, 2017 When I import meshes into a level, everything appears fine in the editor. When I close the project and re-open it the nodes representing the mesh and its parts are still in the hierarchy, but the mesh itself is invisible. Curious as to what I'm doing wrong. When I select each node and focus on where they should be - they're in the correct place, just not visible. Thanks! A.
ulf.schroeter Posted June 18, 2017 Posted June 18, 2017 Maybe some missing material library, please have a look into the Unigine log.
werner.poetzelberger Posted June 30, 2017 Posted June 30, 2017 Yes. Check the materials, as well the paths of the meshes.
andre_elijah Posted July 17, 2017 Author Posted July 17, 2017 K jumping back into Unigine - had to use another engine for a project. The mesh, and materials are all imported into the project's assets directory. Material library saved after they're imported. World saved as well. The log in the command line says that it can't find the materials. What is the proper workflow for importing meshes so everything stays put? Thanks!
andre_elijah Posted July 17, 2017 Author Posted July 17, 2017 I'm just going to rebuild a new material library. No worries.
silent Posted July 18, 2017 Posted July 18, 2017 Hi Andre, The recommended workflow is to use FBX import and manually assign materails / settings. Asset browser is still under development, so it can't be used in production :( Sorry for the inconvenience caused. 1 How to submit a good bug report --- FTP server for test scenes and user uploads: ftp://files.unigine.com user: upload password: 6xYkd6vLYWjpW6SN
