Amerio.Stephane Posted November 25, 2017 Posted November 25, 2017 Hello, I find that a lot of useful features from Editor 1 have been left behind in Editor 2. The documentation of 2.6.0.1 still references them, though. Among the missing features: - Helpers->Shadow cascades - Blend parameters of Height Textures in Terrain detail (this one is direly needed!) : Threshold, Width and Contrastparameters allow you to control the blending of the detail according to the mask. Maybe the doc should at least have a note stating if the feature is deprecated, or will be added back in the next version :)
sebastianbah Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 Hi, As for Helpers->Shadow cascades, as a workaround, you can use render_show_cascades 1 console command as a workaround. But we'll add the feature request to our internal bug tracker. As for blend parameters, the suggestion has been moved to another topic, isn't it? Thanks!
Amerio.Stephane Posted November 28, 2017 Author Posted November 28, 2017 Hello, Thanks for the tip with the console command, works great. Maybe I missed it in the doc, is there some cheatsheet of useful commands somewhere? For Blend params, yes, consider it moved to the other topic. Thank you.
sebastianbah Posted November 29, 2017 Posted November 29, 2017 Hi, You can find the full list of console commands with descriptions in docs here:https://developer.unigine.com/en/docs/2.6/code/console/ world_show_*, render_show_* commands may help to visualize some debug information. Thanks!
