ianyyin Posted April 2, 2018 Posted April 2, 2018 Hi, The current TAA and FXAA provides some antialias basics. but for video application we have been working on, the current antialias quality is not good enough. Does unigine have any roadmap or plan to improve the antialias? or adapt other antialias methods? Thanks, Ian
silent Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 Hi Ian, There will be more settings to tune in TAA and FXAA in the upcoming 2.7 SDK update. FXAA is being upgrade to 3.11 (finally!) and it can give you slightly better results in motion. MSAA is also in roadmap for the future releases, but in terms of quality / performance there is no better solution then TAA. If you have quite powerful GPUs you can already use render_supersampling 2 in combination with TAA to get very good looking final picture without the noticeable artifacts. Thanks! werner.poetzelberger Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 render_supersampling 2 is really nice and it improves the over quality in terms of jittering and textures. But you need to be sure to keep your framerate up as it costs a lot to render the scene. Also make sure, when using it, to work in that mode, or check your content in that mode, as it differs so much (because of so much more details). 1
