Tree's 'pop' when switching between impostor & meshclutter

I followed the video tutorials on meshclutter's and impostors & believe I have set the switch over distance between the two as recommended in the video.  Unfortunately, I occasionally get behavior where the impostor vanishes before the clutter loads which means the object disappears for a second before popping back into existence.  Here is a video of the phenomenon.

The behavior is inconsistent.  After having it happen for a few minutes it will go away.  Does it have something to do with how the two objects are loaded into memory?

Hello Robert,

This could happen due to the lag of clutter cell generation. Can you share the following info:

  • Terrain size
  • Grass and Clutter size, step and density

More likely you'll have to adjust step value to make trees appear seamless.
