IG rain,snow,cloud performance

I

The default snow, rain, and cloud effects of the IG Template (+ VR) cause a lot of frame drop..

I tested with HEMU.

Is there a good way to optimize?

What parameter do you control the size of the rain? aerosol concentration or coverage?

 test cloud -> coverage

rain/snow - > aerosol concentration.

 

I use Vive Pro.

In VR, if the viewport only renders the aircraft cockpit and my terrain, the frame is already fixed at 45. (Probably between 65 and 75)

If I try to use effects like clouds or snow / rain there, the frame drops to 5 in extreme cases.

aerosol concentration value mast be in [0..1] range
 In future versions, the rain intensity is controlled through a "coverage" parameter.

if you need more intense rain - look at the particle system
ig/weather/fx/rain_particles/nodes/rain_particles.node
you can change in the property PrecipitationParams
min\max spawn rate
min\max density
min\max
image.pngsize

The decal of the rain particle node is not working. (puddles_decal)

I did not modify the decal node.

I don't know what's causing it to suddenly stop working.

I Create a new cigi sample project.

and  tried to make the rain node on the terrain, but the same problem occurred.

Is it a Windows Setting problem?

Hello dongju.jeong,

To fix this, please, change rotation of the puddles_decal node to 0 (x-axis). This will be fixed in the future updates.
