Spherical terrain?

Hi, I'm wondering if it possible to generate a Land scape layer map terrain and kind of wrap it around a sphere mesh(maybe) to get sort of like a planet effect. I'm pretty new and I've been reading on this topic all day on other forums, articles, etc. 

 

Please share your ideas if you have any :)

Check the road map for Full Planet. If its that what you r looking for ;)
