danni.coy Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 I am trying to get animations from blender -> unigine using a md5 model exporter. This works fine for md5mesh. all the md5anim files I have generated or found don't register any frames... could I have a working md5anim file to test against. Also - will there be plugins for either XSI or Maya on Linux?
manguste Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 Our developers used Doom/Quake models to test md5anim. Maya plugin on Linux is already available.
danni.coy Posted October 4, 2011 Author Posted October 4, 2011 Ok I see that the most recent linux version is 2009. Is there a reason this hasn't been updated?
steve3d Posted October 4, 2011 Posted October 4, 2011 I personally will not recommond xsi on Linux, that's almost a trash compared to maya under Linux, Maya uses qt as GUI framework, xsi uses mainwin (mfc emulator on Linux)
manguste Posted October 7, 2011 Posted October 7, 2011 Ok I see that the most recent linux version is 2009. Is there a reason this hasn't been updated? And what version of Maya for Linux would you want to use?
