Guest shane.ploenges Posted September 17, 2011 Posted September 17, 2011 Unigines terrain editing is fantastic, but after playing with Unity and cryengine, it is obvious it has several shortcomings for grass and object placement. It would be great if clutter, cluster and grass masks could be modified in realtime with a brush like the detail texture painter so that these objects could be modified as required This would bring unigine in line with the other current gen engines as far as world creation tools go, and would give us some real power in the editor, rather than having to go to another program such as photoshop for doing this type of work.
manguste Posted September 23, 2011 Posted September 23, 2011 We will be creating a new editor with new functionality soon, and we will keep in mind your suggestion.
Guest shane.ploenges Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 A new editor, this sounds good - is there a rough estimate on when this is due and what changes it will have? Currently we are planning a lot of extensions to the Unigine Editor tools to make scene creation easier, however it would be disapointing for us to find we have implemented features at great expense, that you may already be planning to add to the Editor in the future.
