powerspeed_de Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 We have 2 meshes with one surface for each: (1) Main one (2) LOD for (1) We don't merge these surfaces into single mesh because this LOD is also LOD for other mesh. Pivot and bountboxes of both meshes are equal. Visible params: (1) -inf; 70 (2) 70; 500 When we zoom camera out of mesh, we can see a glitch for a some time: (1) already disappears while (2) is not appeared yet. We also can see that material of (1) disappears first, then geometry goes off too (see attach image). Other meshes works correctly with their LODs with same scheme.
frustum Posted October 12, 2011 Posted October 12, 2011 You should create nodes hierarchy and change surface parent number in case of multiple objects. Check samples/objects/meshes/lods_01 example.
manguste Posted October 14, 2011 Posted October 14, 2011 Please check information on how level of detail is managed in Unigine, and especially about a reference object to measure distance to. There's also a tutorial on setting up LODs, if it would help.
