kgregor Posted May 20, 2025 Posted May 20, 2025 (edited) My project has very slow -laggy framerate, if I have Window's operating system resolution of 3840x2160, but then run my project .exe with choosen 1920x1080. Current fix is to first set Window's resolution to 1920x1080 and then run my project and also choose 1920x1080 at start of my .exe project. This way the game has very smooth feeling. Is there way to solve this without at first adjusting resolution in Window's OS settings? As far as understand, if i have my Window's OS resolution set at 3840x2160 and set my project at 1920x1080, current screen resolution would stay at 3840x2160 and 1920x1080 offscreen would be scaled to this large resolution and displayed. That's the reason of lagging. Edited May 20, 2025 by kgregor
kgregor Posted May 20, 2025 Author Posted May 20, 2025 I can't fnd any method in Unigine API to set screen resolution, not the window resolution. Is there any?
Amerio.Stephane Posted May 20, 2025 Posted May 20, 2025 You can try with the console command: render_virtual_resolution 1920 1080 You will have to manually adapt for your actual frame ratio, though.
kgregor Posted May 20, 2025 Author Posted May 20, 2025 (edited) I tried ".bat" option instead of "Gui Based" under Type for Launcher Default Settings, now, under 3840x2160 resolution of screen of operating system doesn't produce laggy rendering, but scaling affects the Unigine window. When scaling is larger than 100 %, render is shrinked, and not stretched to full width and height of screen. Shrinked render area is related only to 3840x2160, on 2560x1440 even non-100% scaling works great. Edited May 20, 2025 by kgregor
kgregor Posted May 20, 2025 Author Posted May 20, 2025 Please see my old post: Scaling issue on 3840x2160 is still not solved.
