nexys.stormcloud Posted June 6, 2025 Posted June 6, 2025 Hi, Is it possible to limit grass and clutter placement by heightmap, like it made for detail mask? if not, will it be added in future?

Currently, placement areas can only be specified using image or mesh masks or by defining them through terrain masks to indicate where objects may be placed. That said, your suggestion is both valuable and insightful. We've recorded it as a feature request in our internal tracking system for future consideration. Thank you very much for your input!
bmyagkov Posted June 9, 2025 Posted June 9, 2025 @nexys.stormcloud Additionally, leveraging the angle parameter could assist in addressing this task as it evaluates terrain slope to determine excessively steep regions where object placement is restricted similar to what is illustrated in the attached video. nexys.stormcloud Posted June 9, 2025 Author Posted June 9, 2025 Thank You for reply! Yes, I know about angle limit, and I use this feature, but since masks on landscape can be limited by height, it would be important to limit grass placement as well. Moreover, height masking would be very useful for placing reeds on the bank of a pond, for example. 1
