IG desync env loading on slaves

Hello,

When I launch my IG from a master PC on two slaves, I've noticed the environment doesn't load at the same speed on each slave. I've attached screenshots from both slaves, taken shortly after launch, to show this.

After that, during a simple flight simulation, the environment sometimes loses all its detail again. The really problematic part is that this doesn't happen at the same time on both slaves, which causes a visible separation between the two screens.

What parameters do you think could be most involved in causing this kind of asynchronous loading and detail loss, so I can investigate them further?

@Marilou.GrignoliHave you recently started experiencing this issue or has it been present for some time already? Also, just to clarify—when you mention environment, are you referring specifically to the terrain surface details or are other elements in the scene affected as well?

If it’s only related to the Landscape Terrain it might be worth checking how different settings influence the behavior. You can try adjusting parameters under Unigine Editor → Settings → Landscape particularly the "Preset" options for Geometry and Streaming.

Lastly, could you let us know the specifications of the PC used for testing? Are they all the same or do they differ?

Hello,

Thank you for your answer. This has been happening for some time already. I am referring to the terrain surface details, the buildings, and the vegetation.

I have attached a picture of my current settings for Landscape.

The three PCs are the same (DELL GeForce RTX 4090, with exactly the same display settings, refresh rate is 75Hz for the slaves and 60Hz for the master); however, I just saw that the driver version is 552.44 for one of the slaves, whereas it is 551.23 for the other slave and the master.

So I updated all the drivers and tested it again : I saw the same loading difference between the slaves.

So, just to confirm—it's not only the Landscape Terrain that's affected but basically the entire scene including all its objects is loading with some delay?

Would it be possible for you to switch from the High preset to Low and see if the behavior changes in any way?

Hello!

As you asked I have changed from High to Low preset, I saw a difference for the right slave which took longer to load but the difference remained

At first :

left :

After 20 seconds we can see the left slave is "late" again

This time when flying I saw that it was more the terrain and the differneces I saw before in te loading of the buildings and other objects happen at the same time on both slaves. Here is an example of what happens during flight : on the right screen at some point the terrain had to "reload".

@Marilou.GrignoliThank you for the additional information. We would appreciate it if you could also help clarify the following questions:

  1. Which SDK release is being used for this project?
  2. Is the SpiderVision plugin utilized in this setup?
  3. Are any custom cameras being used on the slave PC instances?
  4. What are the exact startup arguments used to launch the slave instances?

Hello,

Sorry for the late answer.

1) sim_windows_2.19.1.1

2) Yes I use Spider vision for the calibration

3) Yes I have customs cameras, (the pictures above were made in pilot eye point of view)
