nitrooo Posted August 24, 2025 Posted August 24, 2025 Please implement power saving mode in the editor. It can't run in full performance mode all the time. It takes too much power, heats up cpu and gpu, and makes all cooling fans go crazy! Take a look at the unreal editor - there is "Realtime" on/off option which allows it to go idle and save power. Just let the editor spin down if there is no user input within defined time.
silent Posted August 25, 2025 Posted August 25, 2025 Thank you for the suggestion! To help reduce CPU/GPU load, you can adjust the Max FPS parameter in the Editor settings and disable background update when the Editor is minimized. While this doesn’t fully resolve the issue, it should help lower the load to some extent. At the moment, no dedicated power-saving options are planned, but I’ve added this request to our future TODO list with a low priority for now.
