Note create/edit when registering a license

It looks like the new SDK browser no longer allows to create a Note when registering a Fixed license. Also, the support page no longer allows us to create or edit a note either.

As far as I know - there were no changes regarding this matter.

For the WEB part - could you please give us a bit more information?

I've just checked License Manager and there is a separate field where you can put your notes after clicking either "Get Code For Fixed License" or "Get Code For Channel" buttons:

Do you have the same window, but you can enter anything here? Or what is the actual behavior?

After entering a note you can see it in the list of licenses in License Manager (just click specific license you need to check and it will expand).

Regarding the SDK Browser part - as far as I remember, there were no notes field, since the fixed activation implies that your machine is offline, so it can't send any data back to the developer. You can enter and see note only by visiting the website.

When registering directly from the SDKBrowser, there is no longer a "Note" edit box (it may  have disappeared a few versions ago, maybe, not sure) but we sure lack it.

Also, in the Licence Manager page you linked, there is not Add/Edit for the note:

Hi Stephane,

Ah, got it. Yes, at the moment, a note can only be added manually when entering the request code and generating the activation code on the Licenses page. If the activation code was generated in SDK Browser while it was connected to the Internet, it is unfortunately not possible to add, edit, or remove notes.

I will ask our web development team to review this and add the functionality to edit notes for previously generated offline activations. At the moment, I’m unable to provide an exact ETA for this. Once I receive more details from the team, I will let you know.

Thanks for considering this addition! It may have been lost when you upgraded the License site a few months ago.

Typically, we use this note to remove unused seats (when we remove a PC, or when we upgrade a simulator with new PCs), and to more easily track the location of installed licenses.

Yeah, looks like it was lost during the recent refactoring :) Hope will be restored eventually.
