Hello, just tried unigine today, on my lenovo l14 gen 2 i7 laptop, even when im running unigine viewport at lowest preset, or after closing the viewport and also the world, the cpu utilization stays between 20-30% and also gets heated alot. Is there any way to make it better while i just want to visualize and work?

edit- found one temprory fix, setting unigine's process in taskmanager to efficiency mode, which dosen't lower the utilization, but does lower the temperature to good level.

Have the same issue.

Loaded only "tutorial" world (archviz)

Windows 10 Pro (22H2)

Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9700KF CPU @ 3.60GHz   3.60 GHz

It feels like the game engine is constantly calculating something. Apparently, this has something to do with textures.

Let's give it some time, maybe the developers will notice and let us know what's going on.

second one looks like a qt function, something related to the editor ui, i think it is happening because of the first one, probably the viewport loop, but im not sure, just installed unigine yesterday i don't know much about it, i got very scared when my laptop got heated lol

Yes, it's my second day with Unigine too, so I will wait for the developer's answer. 🙂

By the way, my first attempt was on Fedora 43, but there I encountered a freeze in the material graph editor 5 seconds after opening it.

You can try to limit FPS by entering console command: render_max_fps 100, other than that there is no other methods to reduce workload. This setting also loaded from the .world file, so it may be overridden an you need to periodically check if the FPS limit is still applied.

Thanks for replying, i have tried to put the viewport in the lowest setting, and yes i tried setting the max fps too, but that dosen't fix anything, i lowred all of the settings to lowest and even then it happens. the only thing which works is to put it's (the editors's) process on efficiency mode, which only fixes the heating issue for my laptop.

I really hope that you guys would fix this issue in the next release...

Yes, this is something we would like to investigate further and ultimately identify a proper solution for.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

Добрый день!

Вам действительно стоит обратить внимание на эту ситуацию. Очень странное поведение - миллионы переключений контекста. LiveLock?

P.S. Снизил fps до 10, и, по ощущению, теперь весь интерфейс editor-а рендерится с частотой 10 кадров.
