Setting Global Render API to Vulkan Dosen't work on Intel Iris XE:

  • Open sdk launcher
  • click on global options
  • set the api to vulkan
  • launch any project in editor or run it

it gives the error which is shown in the first attached image, the crash dump is also linked in attachment.
I also use houdini with vulkan viewport, which runs fine.

Setting the api to auto or directx12 works too.


Platform- Windows 11
Processor- 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-1185G7
Graphics Processor- Intel Iris Xe Graphics G7 96EU
I have the latest driver of my gpu installed.

That's known limitation of Intel Vulkan drivers, please check this forum thread: 

There is no multithreaded GPU transfer available for a while, which is required for the engine correct work.
