Using Interleaved Indirect Lighting causes Water Issue

Using the Interleaved Indirect Lighting option causes a visual rendering artifact on water surfaces, but only when also using a raymarched LightEnvironmentProbe.  It appears that the downsampled resolution for the indirect lighting is not expanding to fill the visual space of the water area as it is for the rest of the screen.  (see attached image)  I'm currently using Unigine 2.21.0.2, but this has been a long standing bug and wasn't introduced recently.

Thank you for reporting this issue and for the detailed description!

We tried to reproduce the problem on our side, but unfortunately we were unable to trigger the artifact so far.

Could you please help us by preparing a minimal reproducer? Create an empty scene, recreate the behavior using simple primitives (e.g., a few cubes around a water surface) with the same render settings, and then export the scene as a .upackage archive via the Asset Browser and attach it to this topic.

This would significantly speed up our investigation and help us pinpoint the exact combination of settings causing the issue.

Hi bmyagkov,

Attached is a package file containing a basic scene which shows the rendering error.  Again, the only criteria to reproduce on my side is use a RaymarchedEnvironmentProbe, and turn on the Interleaved Indirect Lighting setting.  Thanks!

Hi,

Thank you for the reproducer package, that was very helpful! We were able to reproduce the issue on our side with the provided scene. Unfortunately, there is no way to avoid this behavior right now. The issue has been logged in our internal bug tracker and we will do our best to address it in one of the upcoming SDK updates.
