Better than millisecond resolution timestamp() script OS function e.g. for time buget management during update processing ( time() script function unsuitable due to only seconds resolution )

There is a clock() script function which provides a maximal available resolution.

ok, I see, maybe documentation should state high resolution/format of float return value explicitly. Somehow I falsely assumed second resolution like time()
